My First Mother’s Day as a Married Woman…

Yesterday was my first mother’s day as a married woman. It was the best mother’s day ever!

My daughter was born 5 years ago. I met my now husband almost 3 years ago. We were married in September, and he is the best father my daughter and I could ask for.

I woke up to the sound of them giggling outside my room. My daughter ran in with a framed picture of herself standing in the shape of the letter ‘I’. She ran back out and returned with another framed picture of herself forming the letter ‘L’ with her body. Then another framed picture of herself forming the letter ‘O’ with her hands. Moments later I received yet another framed picture, this time her legs making a ‘V’. Next an ‘E’, then a ‘Y’, an ‘O’, and finally a ‘U’.

As a young married couple with a 5 year-old daughter we have very little money, and my husband and daughter managed to give me a gift worth millions.
